We are delighted to announce that the 7th International Renal MRI Meeting will take place in Uppsala, Sweden, October 11-12, 2027. And the day before, October 10, 2027, there will be a welcome reception.

In continuum of the preceding meetings, you can expect excellent lectures and discussion of the fast developments and clinical relevance of functional renal MRI. Join us in Sweden to foster the development of local, national and international collaborations to explore multi-disciplinary imaging approaches by connecting to our broad community, including, basic scientists, clinical scientists and clinicians from physiology, nephrology, radiology, internal medicine and related fields, as well as experts in imaging sciences and physics from all levels, ranging from students to advanced users and international experts.
Professor Per Liss at the Department of Radiology at Uppsala University has already initiated the first organizational steps, so more information will be presented shortly here.

Brusewitz Lecture Hall is located at Uppsala University, within the Gamla Torget campus area in central Uppsala. The lecture hall is situated in the building at Gamla Torget 6 / Östra Ågatan 19, close to the city center.
Uppsala is a small university town with around 50,000 students and Uppsala University is the oldest university in the Nordic countries, founded in 1477. Uppsala is situated 80 km north of Stockholm and Arlanda, the main international airport is 40 km from Uppsala.
Travel
Bus
Bus 801 runs between Arlanda (Airport) and central Uppsala throughout the day. The journey takes approx. 45 minutes.
You can purchase tickets with a credit card on the bus, but cash is not accepted. There are also vending machines at Arlanda airport terminals 2, 4 and 5 where you can purchase a one way ticket (credit cards only). There is a price reduction when buying tickets from the vending machines compared to onboard the bus.

Train
Trains leave Arlanda Airport for Uppsala Central Station directly from Sky City next to Terminal 5. The journey time is approx. 20 minutes.
Tickets may be purchased at the ticket desk in Sky City, or online in advance. Please note that both local commuter trains (SL/UL), and national long distance trains (SJ) operates the distance Arlanda airport – Uppsala. Make sure to enter the correct train, the tickets are not compatible on both train companies.

Taxi
Taxis leave from outside of the arrival hall. The journey time to Uppsala is about 30-35 minutes. Free price setting applies to taxi rides in Sweden since the taxi market is deregulated. Choose the company and car that best suits you, you do not need to take the car that is first in line.
Make sure to ask the driver for a fixed price in advance. You can pay by credit card or by cash. The maximum fixed price to one address in Uppsala for a car 1-4 persons should be SEK 695.
